If the BBC ever wanted a replacement for
the Tardis - they could always hire R W Thomas' premises
in Sutton Bridge. What from the outside looks a bit like a small
Bungalow is in fact a huge store containing virtually
everything you need for Gardening, DIY, Household upkeep and
maintenance and most other things you can think of that are
needed to keep your home, car and garden in tip top shape!
What's even better is that it's that
glorious British Institution - the Ironmongers - yes, you can
get pre-packed screws etc here but you can also buy them
individually. Added to that you'll get personal service
from Bob Thomas and his friendly staff along with helpful advice
- after all they've only been doing it for 25 years!
We can't stress too much that we can't
list everything here- we're just doing a wholesale catalogue for
the other side of the business and we lost count at 180 pages.
Such is the reputation of the business
that they have a thriving Wholesale, Trade and Industrial
Supplies business as well as the retail side.
They're also open long hours - from 7.30
am till 5.00 pm every day except Sunday - so when you decide to
get an early start for that big job - the shop will be open
ready for you.
You'd expect a shop like this to have the
'normal' lines that are in every DIY and Hardware shop - but
would you have thought that you could get a Preserving Pan here
- or a pair of Binoculars or even a mandolin (no not for music -
for slicing vegetables etc very thinly!)
There are also items that you'd never
think of perhaps - like vacuum flask refills and tractor spares.
Whatever your need - save yourself time,
trouble and hassle - there's no need to drive to one of the big
out of town DIY barns , - you're likely to find it here and
what's more you'll have no trouble in talking to a real live
person.
On the tools side there are tools and
accessories available for virtually every job you can think of -
and probably a lot more as well. Why struggle with that old worn
out saw that probably couldn't cut through butter - you'll find
what you need here and at competitive prices.

Lawnmower Blades plus a Laminating and Fax Service coupled with
a free local delivery service.
